Tornadoes caused by Climate Change?

Tornadoes caused by Climate Change? Leland Long Dec 15 1 Wall Street Journal, 12122021, Science Section Predictably, the climate change team was available to claim that the recent deadly tornado was caused by changing climate, and of course, we must step up efforts to combat it. It may surprise you that most scientists disagree that Tornadoes are caused by climate change - the data is not there. Interesting points I found are: Why don’t we name Tornadoes? Too many, localized, short duration. We older folks may remember names like ‘cyclone’ or twister’ - same thing. This latest tornado (Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, and Tennessee.) may break a record for the longest tornado track - 250 miles long. It was part of a cluster of tornadoes; 37 were reported. It was spawned by unusually hot, humid weather at a time of year when twisters are rare. The National Weather Service recognized the potential threat of the Friday night tornadoes days in advance and...

20 Drawbacks Of Electric Vehicles Drivers Overlook Vukasin Herbez December 17, 2019 For almost 10 years now, electric vehicles have been the talk of the car industry. From the early Tesla models up to today’s Mustang Mach E, electric vehicles tried to show what the future of personal transport looks like. To some, they are appealing since modern electric vehicles introduced zero emissions and high-tech driving interfaces. However, EV manufacturers have hidden the downsides of those vehicles. The purpose of this list is to reveal to you the 20 things they won’t tell you. Keep reading to discover why electric cars are still far from perfect. Here’s why you should think twice before purchasing one. Photo Credit: Alanc Ward 20. Short Range Anxiety Range anxiety is the number-one factor when it comes to EV downsides. Simply, modern electric vehicles are still range-limited due to their small capacity batteries. Most affordable electric cars on the market have a bit...

Banning gas-powered vehicles means a crushing change for America

Banning gas-powered vehicles means a crushing change for America By Duggan Flanakin | January 17th, 2021 | Energy | Comments Off on Banning gas-powered vehicles means a crushing change for America The election of the Biden-Harris ticket will, we are told, hasten the death of the internal combustion engine in the United States. Once the sale of new gasoline engine vehicles is banned, the only question remaining is how long before driving them is also outlawed? Well, incoming Vice President Kamala Harris promised that, “By my plan, by 2045 we will have basically zero emission vehicles only.100 percent by 2045.” President-elect Biden has promised in his two trillion dollar “climate change” plan [a major downsize from Bernie Sanders’ $16 trillion Green New Deal] “rigorous new fuel economy standards aimed at ensuring 100 percent of new sales for light- and medium-duty vehicles will be zero emission vehicle...

The high costs and low benefits of electric vehicles

The high costs and low benefits of electric vehicles By CFACT Ed , Duggan Flanakin | August 6th, 2020 | Energy | Comments Off on The high costs and low benefits of electric vehicles The rush to decarbonize every nation in the world in one or maybe two decades reflects the “I want it all NOW!” philosophy imbued through modern education systems. Current and recent former students – and their teachers – demand a perfect world (since they can envision one) and exhibit zero patience (hence the nationwide riots in the U.S.). Hopefully the mad stampede to destroy the West’s ability to use fossil fuels at all will be sidelined by harsh realities of economics, logistics, and resource availability (including a hoped for reticence to rely on child slave labor to satisfy their blood lust). Yet the United Kingdom, formerly a bastion of sanity, has mandated, as part of its drive toward an all-electric...

Electric vehicle shock treatment: Lessons from Britain

Electric vehicle shock treatment: Lessons from Britain By Duggan Flanakin | December 12th, 2020 | Energy | Comments Off on Electric vehicle shock treatment: Lessons from Britain Joe Biden, and his fellow Democrats, apparently big U.S. automakers, have joined the rush to transform U.S. transportation to 100% electric vehicles (EV) whether We the People want it or not. During an October town hall, Biden asserted that his plan save “billions of gallons of oil” and help create 1 million auto industry jobs, in part by banning the sale or manufacture of new internal combustion (IC) engine vehicles by 2030. Exactly how this will happen in the Real World, he didn’t say. Biden’s California-inspired vision excludes hybrid vehicles, includes installing 500,000 EV charging stations and provides “cash for clunkers” style rebates for new EV buyers. As of 2018, nearly half of all EV registrations (256,800 out of 543,600) we...

IRS data prove 2017 tax cuts benefited middle class the most

IRS data prove 2017 tax cuts benefited middle class the most December 04, 2021 06:00 AM By  Justin Haskins P resident Joe Biden and congressional Democrats' Build Back Better Act would increase taxes on higher-income earners and expand business levies to help cover its $2.4 trillion price tag. Biden and many Democrats in Congress have argued that their plan to raise taxes in the midst of an economic recovery is justified because it would help offset or reverse important elements of the Republican tax reform passed in 2017. Democrats have long claimed that the Tax Cuts and ...
