Climate Hysteria: A Mass Delusion to Demonize Carbon Dioxide

Image
Climate Hysteria: A Mass Delusion to Demonize Carbon Dioxide By Jerome Corsi Climate hysterics like to throw around the world “denier” to castigate those who don’t get with the green agenda. The term is deliberately intended to echo the phrase “Holocaust denier” to those anti-Semites who like to insist that the Holocaust never happened. While the comparison is obscene, it’s certainly true that the Holocaust, like the climate agenda, have something in common: They both reflect a blind fanaticism untethered to actual facts. Climate hysterics demonize carbon dioxide (CO2) much as Hitler stereotyped Jews. They then demonize their critics as “Holocaust deniers” because the psychological link is to demonize critics of the anthropogenic theory as if they were Jew-haters...

The Irrefutable Case For A Fossil-Fueled Future

Image
The Irrefutable Case For A Fossil-Fueled Future If we want a world in which all 8 billion of us have the opportunity to flourish—to live long, healthy, prosperous, fulfilling lives—we need more, not less, fossil fuels. I explain this comprehensively in my book Fossil Future . Here’s a summary of my case, the principles it is based on, and the facts that support it . [bold, links added] Why do I believe the world needs to increase fossil fuel use when so many tell us to rapidly eliminate fossil fuel use? Because it flows from 3 irrefutable principles for thinking about fossil fuels that I, as a philosopher and energy expert, follow—and most “experts” don’t. My 3 irrefutable principles for thinking about fossil fuels , which no opponent has ever challenged: 1. Factor in fossil fuels’ benefits 2. Factor in fossil fuels’ “climate mastery benefits” 3. Factor in fossil fuels’ negative and positive climate side-effects with precision ...

For Most Americans, The Idea Of Buying An Electric Car Is A Joke

Image
For Most Americans, The Idea Of Buying An Electric Car Is A Joke   Electric vehicle industry promoters are absolutely  crowing  about recent data showing record sales for non-hybrid electric vehicles. In the first half of 2022, these electric vehicles made up  5.46%  of all new car sales, while sales of hybrids declined. For comparison, electric vehicles made up just 2.7% of all car sales in the second quarter of 2021. [bold, links added] Since the beginning of the pandemic, overall car sales have  fallen  drastically. Over 17 million new cars were sold each year from 2015 to 2019. The year 2020 saw sales fall to 14.7 million and a mere 12.28 million were sold in 2021. Currently, we are on track to roughly match the 2021 sales number.  The motivation for this increase in purchases of EVs is nothing less than the largest, most coordinated effort on the part of the federal government to s...

Reality

Reality Armageddon is on its way............those of you that think electric vehicles are the answer- this is a true story from a farmer in the Midwest- and I’m reposting it- A close friend farms over 10,000 acres of corn in the mid-west. The property is spread out over 3 counties. His operation is a "partnership farm" with John Deere. They use the larger farm operations as demonstration projects for promotion and development of new equipment. He recently received a phone call from his John Deere representative, and they want the farm to go to electric tractors and combines in 2023. He currently has 5 diesel combines that cost $900,000 each that are traded in every 3 years. Also, over 10 really BIG tractors. JD wants him to go all electric soon. He said: "Ok, I have some questions. How do I charge these combines when they are 3 counties away from the shop in the middle of a cornfield, in the middle of nowhere?" "How do I run them 24 hours a day for 10 or 12 d...

Newsom pushes desalination, rain capture, cutting red tape, as California dries out

Newsom pushes desalination, rain capture, cutting red tape, as California dries out California anticipates losing 10% of its water supply by 2040. By Madison Hirneisen Updated: August 12, 2022 - 12:52am In anticipation of California losing 10% of its water supply by 2040, Gov. Gavin Newsom and state water officials unveiled a multi-pronged plan Thursday to adapt to hotter conditions and bolster the Golden State’s water supply in the coming years. The 16-page plan outlines goals to target the state’s water supply by developing additional space to capture and store water, diversifying...

The Basic Math Problem that Undoes Global Warming Hysteria

The Basic Math Problem that Undoes Global Warming Hysteria By Maker S. Mark If someone proposes a solution to an "existential problem" that has no chance of success, should we be forced to take the problem seriously? If the climate alarmists truly believe there is a climate emergency, then they should be able to answer the first basic question about "the plan."  Are the numbers in the plan even remotely achievable?  Remember: based on their screeching, we have only twelve years before we all die from "man-made climate change." To answer that question, let's break part of the plan into the most basic math problem: can we replace 25%, 50%, or 75% of the cars on the road in ten years?  To understand the theoretical possibility, we will s...

Tonga eruption sent enough water to fill 58,000 Olympic pools into the atmosphere

Tonga eruption sent enough water to fill 58,000 Olympic pools into the atmosphere The event is expected to warm up the Earth temporarily. Ameya Paleja Created: Aug 4, 2022 3:49 AM Umbrella cloud generated by the underwater eruption of the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcano on Jan. 15, 2022. NASA Earth Observatory image by Joshua Stevens The Tonga eruption was 500 times more powerful than Hirsoshima. Water vapor was detected by NASA's Aura satellite. Water content is expected to temporarily warm up the Earth. When the undersea Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcano erupted near Tonga earlier this year, the shock sent 146 teragrams of water vapor into the stratosphere, a recently published study by NASA scientists said. A teragram of water is equal to a trillion grams. The volcano eruption that made headlines earlier this year was 500 times more powerful than the atomic bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and cut off the island nation from the rest of the world for over a month....
