Biden Admin Announces ‘Most Aggressive’ Crackdown on Gas Vehicles

Biden Admin Announces ‘Most Aggressive’ Crackdown on Gas Vehicles Listen to this article 0:00 / 5:20 BeyondWords CV NEWS FEED // The Biden administration Wednesday announced it has finalized plans to impose several stringent regulations on gas-powered vehicles in a move critics have long warned would amount to an “electric vehicle (EV) mandate.” In a statement , the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) called the regulations the “strongest-ever pollution standards for cars.” The EPA clarified that it is “finalizing” the standards for “passenger cars, light-duty trucks, and medium-duty vehicles for model years 2027 through 2032 and beyond.” “These standards will avoid more than 7 billion tons of carbon emissions and provide nearly $100 billion of annual net benefits to society,” the EPA’s statement claimed. “The final standards deliver on the significant pollution reductions outlined in the proposed rule, while accelerating the ado...

Every "net zero by 2050" myth, refuted

Every "net zero by 2050" myth, refuted By Alex Epstein In preparation for a "net zero by 2050" debate that my opponent failed to show up for, I created refutations of every myth in support of net-zero that I've every encountered. Originally published on Sep 21, 2023 For the last several months I have been eagerly anticipating a scheduled debate I had at the University of Syracuse on “net zero by 2050” with climate catastrophist and net-zero advocate Tom Rand. Unfortunately, due apparently to some sort of weird contractual issue between Tom’s agent and the university, Tom did not make it to the debate . He took no responsibility for the situation , despite the fact that he signed the contracts that caused the problem. Much worse, he did not apologize to me at all , even though he knows that preparing for a specific debate opponent takes a lot of time. Here’s my exchange with Tom over the issue (warning, he uses profanity). Since I was supposed to be in a ...

Giant 'Rivers' That Flow Through The Sky Mapped For First Time

Giant 'Rivers' That Flow Through The Sky Mapped For First Time Environment 26 February 2024 By Tessa Koumoundouros Atmospheric rivers, filaments of intense moisture transport in the atmosphere, can now be automatically detected in satellite observations. (NOAA) Rivers of intense moisture wend their way through our atmosphere just as their liquid counterparts do across the land. Unfortunately the sky streams are much harder for us to see. Often a product of cyclones, atmospheric rivers can dictate where intense rain will fall , making their lack of visibility a problem. Understanding them grows increasingly important as our warming atmosphere soaks up even greater amounts of water, forcing these aerial waterways to change course . Until now, researchers relied on computer modeling to predict where this water vapor likely flows, but researchers have now devised a way for us to spy on them in real time. The missing piece of the puzzle was a 3D windscape....

AN INTERESTING CONCLUSION… SOLAR FARMS WILL BECOME THUNDERSTORM and TORONADO INCUBATORS and MAGNETS.

AN INTERESTING CONCLUSION… SOLAR FARMS WILL BECOME THUNDERSTORM and TORONADO INCUBATORS and MAGNETS. As more & more counties get more solar farms..... From a STEPHENVILLE resident, George Franklin: I should start by telling you what bonafides I have for writing this. I am a retired aerospace engineer. A literal rocket scientist if you will. I worked on MX (Peacekeeper) Space Shuttle, Hubble, Brilliant Pebbles, PACOSS, Space Station, MMU, B2, the Sultan of Brunei's half billion dollar private 747 with crystal showers, gold sinks and 100 dollar a yard coiffed silk carpets. I designed a satphone installation on prince Jeffry's 757. I did all of the design work for the structure of Mark 1V propulsion module currently flying on at least 3 spacecraft that I know of. Some of the more exciting projects I have worked on are not shareable. I am also am FAA certified glider pilot and FAI certified gold glider pilot. I fly both full scale and model sailplanes. I am Microsof...

“Nothing. No Juice”: Desperate EV Owners Unable To Charge Cars In The Freezing Chicago Cold, Leading To “EV Armageddon”

“Nothing. No Juice”: Desperate EV Owners Unable To Charge Cars In The Freezing Chicago Cold, Leading To “EV Armageddon” [WATCH]” By TomSmith January 17, 2024 0 74 Share Things were less than ideal for many desperate electric vehicle owners in Chicago when winter weather hit and frigid temperatures gripped the Windy City, as their vehicles were unable to charge in the bitter cold. Such was the tragedy that unfolded at Tesla supercharger stations around the city, as the negative double-digit weather turned them into EV graveyards. As background, EV charge times are influenced by the weather. Because charging is a chemical reaction that is slowed down by lower temperatures, frigid wint...

Fountains of diamonds that erupt from Earth's center are revealing the lost history of supercontinents

Fountains of diamonds that erupt from Earth's center are revealing the lost history of supercontinents News By Stephanie Pappas published January 14, 2024 Diamonds seem to reach Earth's surface in massive volcanic eruptions when supercontinents break up, and they form when continents come together. Comments (0) Diamonds erupt at the surface of the planet when supercontinents break up. Studying these sparkly gems can reveal secrets about our planet's deep history. (Image credit: Rory McNicol for Live Science) In the twilight of the Cretaceous, 86 million years ago, a volcanic fissure in what is now South Africa rumbled to life. Below the surface, magma from hundreds of miles down shot upward as fast as a car on the autobahn — if that car were barreling through solid rock — chewing up rocks and minerals and carrying them toward the surface in a reverse avalanche. What this looked like on the surface...
